Hi Max and Emma,
I see your dates are quite far back. I also see you haven't had any responses. I think this might be because you're tackling a problem that is on all our minds. I'm wondering if you ran your events and have any reflections about what worked and what didn't that you could share to others?
I'm sorry I don't have any suggestions myself. What I'm noticing in my work is that this is such an emotional subject that virtual gatherings make it extra hard to tackle. I'd appreciate anything you've learned.
I live in Skagit County, NW Washington state, 150,000 population. My friend, the only black minister in the valley, wants to create a forum on racism, how to overcome barriers, and create unity here. I'm believing LS offers some hope for a productive, innovative, implementable, sustainable outcome. We expect about 60 attendees, what processes to use? Any ideas are welcome, and thanks!
